Project Overview
What's For Dinner provided me and my team a chance to build something really fun and useful. We wanted to create a web app that would allow users to create their own digital cookbook. Some of the highlights include the ability to follow other users, building a custom newsfeed of their recipes and favourites, and adding custom notes to their recipes for your own additions.
Some challenges we faced included building a mobile-first design, and implementing a search function that would allow users to search for recipes by title, ingredients, or tags.
